Sportsperson Award
Only activities involving the school for the current year are to be considered. Private activities are not to be considered.
§ The pupil will be considered for all sport activities within the school program and in all school representative teams or individual events.
§ Where an activity is entered on a school basis then this activity may be considered e.g. a school knock-out competition, gymnastics event, school gala day etc. These events are to be considered:
ØAthletics
ØSwimming
ØCross country
ØPSSA events
ØSchool special events eg clinics
ØOther sports participated in by the school
ØWeekly school sport
§ Children who represent at zone, regional or state are to be strongly recommended.
§ Children to be considered must display not only skill and achievement but demonstrate sportsmanship.
Judging:
Points will be awarded as follows:
* School Level 1
* Zone Level 2
* Regional Level 3
* State Level 4
The teacher in charge of Sport is to compile a list of suitable students who meet the above criteria. Each child is to have their achievements listed. The child who meets the above criteria and has the most points will win the award.
