MINUTES OF THE General meeting of Hinton School P & C Association Inc. 15th August 2007 Meeting opened @7:20 pm N Meredith presiding Present & Apologies : as per attendance book. Minutes: The minutes of the previous meeting were read and passed as true and correct. M: C Davies S: S Baird Business arising from minutes: Sourcing and cost of paints for refurbishment of concrete stencils carried over. Bunnings- Booked out for this year, can apply Sept 2007 for 2008 dates. Staci doing the legwork. (Again!) More info to follow. School uniform policy discussed and finalised. Correspondence: (In and Out) as per book. Fundraising items handed to Fete committee. B Zink to be given Stocklands Star 2007 information M: C Davies S: S Baird Treasurers Report: No report presented. Report next month Presidents Report: School has been very busy this term. Athletics carnival was a great day. The basic skills tests have been done. Yr 3-4 and 5/6 girls have had netball gala days and performed very well. The Canberra excursion was excellent. Wakakirri was great, big thanks to Mrs Zink, Mrs Tomlins and Mrs Woodward. Uniform Coordinator: All is going well. There are still a number of unlabelled clothing items appearing in the lost property, could everyone please check and label please! Canteen Supervisor: No report presented Principals Report: We have a new web site! hintonps.com-still under construction, could the P& C please submit items as they will have a full page. Any suggestions or assistance would be appreciated. Uniform policy is completed and will be distributed. Big Big thank you to all associated with Wakakirri, especially Mrs Zink. All reports were that it was a wonderful experience. Thank you again to Narelle for the turning circle, it is going to be fantastic!!! Indigenous rap is tomorrow. Star struck coming up as well. Touch Football on Monday the 20th Wetlands excursion today, was a great day out. Canberra was excellent- the children were fantastic! Interrelate starts on Tuesday next week A values forum is coming up and school leaders will be attending. On the 29th Aug, 5th and 12th Sept all of year 5 and those in yr 6 attending Maitland High School will be attending science education at the high school. I Would like to hear from people at the next P&C meeting about ideas/suggestions for the end of year activities. General Business: Spoke to K Buzek- Entry, Exit, and No Parking signs cost $50 for turning circle. Mr Sharkey will have Brian install posts for them. Father‘s day stall to be held 30th August. Leanne and Sue to shop. Helpers on stall day would be great! Previous Fete. Photos were taken. Check if Mrs Bortfeld has any information. They may help in the layout of the current one. We are currently 4 students short to qualify for a 5th teacher next year so please keep your ears open for any new arrivals to the area who would like to enrol at our school.
