Uniform discussion: a draft uniform policy has been prepared for distribution next meeting in regards to the alteration of part of the uniform. (not replacement)
Canteen: we are not having many orders on Mondays- can we direct the students more clearly about the canteen days of Monday, Thursday and Friday. Possibly make Monday a special day to boost sales and usage.
Big thank you to Mrs Meredith all her work on the turning circle. It will make a huge difference and improve safety for the children and visitors to the school.
Star struck- we are having commitment problems and a few students have dropped out. This required we open auditions to year 4 and we have 4 very enthusiastic replacements. Students need to be made aware of the long term commitment of projects and need to be prepared to follow through to completion.
14 students participated in the computer test and we did very well with 3 distinctions and 4 credits-Well Done!
‘Values’ is the current value of focus at school - Details in the newsletter
School reports arrive to parents with the newsletter tomorrow. Please have a look at it.
The school may be in line for a financial grant next year depending on the federal budget- more to follow.
Pre school visits are being organised by Mrs Tomlins for prospective students for 2008. Our numbers are very small for next year
The new playground equipment drive being led by Mrs Tomlins- student committee was selected and the children picked the equipment they felt would be the best value and fun. Equipment is very expensive, so requests for donations have been sent (29 so far!) to the Mines, council and others. Mrs Kennerson and Mrs Lantry have been very keen helpers . If anyone has any knowledge of other grants or funds we can tap into, please contact Mrs Tomlins. Details are in the newsletter as well. Mrs Tomlins would like the P&C to donate the soft fall for the playground.
Presidents Report:
The Easter bunny was a big success. Mothers day stall went well and thank you to all the helpers.
