MINUTES OF THE General meeting of Hinton School P & C Association Inc.
21st march 2007
Meeting Opened at 7:50 pm. N Meredith Presiding
Welcome everyone.
Present & Apologies : as per attendance book.
Minutes: The minutes of the previous meeting were read and passed as true and correct.

Business arising from minutes:
Cockroach problem-quotes still to come.
New fridge has been purchased.
The letter Mr Sharkey is sending to Mr Palmer is still in progress.
Still need to look into term Deposits for surplus P&C funds to earn interest.
Correspondence:
Received a thank you card from Mrs Tobin.
P&C information day on 29 May at Weston, 3 to attend. Remind at next meeting for interested attendees and send in booking. Cost $15 per person
Treasurers Report:
As at 28/2/7 Canteen bal $9777.98 P&C Bal $2893.27
Principals Report:
Annual report completed. Distribution in June
The purchased houses, People coming to look at them on the 4th in regards to demolition.
The walkways grant of $30000 is still in the account as they have not been done. Dept of Commerce is looking after it.
$1500 from the vouchers won from Stockland is in an account. The remaining $500 is being used to buy sports gear- money to be transferred back to the P&C.
Mrs Bagnall is leaving due to a transfer.
Harmony day was very well attended and a profit of $200 was made to go towards the playground equipment. Thank you everyone!
School photos 16th May- Full summer uniform please.
Mr Alford is on 4 weeks sick leave and then on long service leave.
Presidents Report:
Thank you and welcome everyone .
Uniform Co-Ordinator:
Hat update. A new supplier has been found, great quality can sell at $5.50, will purchase and reduce price from next term.
Winter uniform: Would like to change to include grey slacks for boys and Bottle green slacks for girls. Will need to be specific about type, colour, and style and suggest stockists. Sport uniform to remain unchanged and acceptable to be worn on any day.

General Business:
Library video recorder is chewing up tapes. Need to purchase a DVD player and a VHS recorder.

Sample of Fete pavers to be sold for fundraising. Cost is $13.90 can sell between $25-$30. Measuring to be done for layout and quantity required and also see if a waiver is required in regards to breakage of pavers after installation.
K Buzek is able to purchase a large heavy duty banner 1500 by 985 for the school. Would be re-usable just change lettering. Cost $121
Look into the cost of renting banners and compare
Labels done for Eskys and large drink bottles. Cost $27. Looks great! Thank You to Mr Buzek.
Planned Driveway: quote 1- Removal of dirt, trees and 2 gardens, cost $1016. Quote 2- Removal of all plants and gardens, cost $1400
