Special Reading Award
 
 
    This award is for a child in Years K-6.
 
    The child needs to demonstrate some or all of the following:-
 
  • “Special” effort in supplementary reading lessons
  • Improvement in standard of reading/spelling
  • Interest, co-operation, enthusiasm and (improved/or) positive attitude
  • Politeness and good manners towards helpers (parent/STLA etc)
  • Consistent return of home tasks
     Judging
  •  Relevant class teachers nominate a child who meets some or all of criteria.
  • STLA teacher nominates (if appropriate) one child from each class
  • Winner is chosen by consensus of staff
  • Principal or Assistant Principal to determine outcome if consensus is not reached
 
Award is currently presented and provided by Mrs. Robyn Bambach (if available).
